Well done to the committee for getting the draw on line, some good line-ups No6, No7, No8, all good, why is there not any prelims matches? as i can see there is a 9 doubles without apponnents, is the committee got defo names to fill the gaps or hoping for late entries up until the start of the comp, and what happens if the late entry doubles are a no show does that mean the other doubles go through to the next round or will it get redrawn, George Beattie stated the draw will be done at the next captains meeting(02/03/10) and this gives late entrants a chance to enter, so why has the draw been made. as i said earlier if there is not enough late entrants what happens to those doubles who dont have any team to play???

The first 24 matches are the prelims with the last 8 already into the the next round (last 32) unless we have any late entries at the captains meeting which will get drawn into one of the late entry slots.

Simples sorry 2 put a spanner in the works here but you cant add players 2 a draw once you`ve made it? the minute you let anyone else enter you then have to redraw this is a basic rule the reason any draw is started is when all participents are included this ensures that any pairing can be drawn against any other?? as it stands letting late entries in now only allows them to be drawn against a small selection of players come on boys at least get the simple things correct

Also, all the late entries got straight through without having to play a prelim. It seems that some teams have been punished for entering their team punctually by having to play a prelim while others who leave it to the last minute get straight through which is definitely not right and shouldn't really be able to happen. |

How is the draw not timed was that not the whole point of doing the draw before the comp if not u should start doing the draw on the day of the comp |

can't understand why myself. as you say early entries will now have to play more games than all the hangers on. this can't be right. i know we always try and accomodate people who want to play but this can't be the way to do it. we had similar at 2 man team with a lot of late entrants . can you not do a draw filling as many first round games as poss with all the others going in to a prelim if there are late entries instead of other way round. if there is no team to play you go in to first round |

does that also mean that some teams might get a bye into second round while others getting knocked out in a prelim????? strange |

if even 1 extra team enter and get to play a round less than all the teams who have entered on time, use will be in for some complaints from now on! 1st why have a closing date then just change it even if only 4 teams entered then so be it, and from now on think il just turn up on the day a get a buy right into the next round unlike all the daffty's who paid and entered on time so i say it must be re-drawn and by the look of it most others agree!

if youse look at the draw its a maximum of 32 ties theres room for 5 more doubles ,these are all prelims and if no one takes up any of the 5 place remaining those 5 will go into the first round its simple , am with tammy once the draws been done that should be it but the commitee decided to keep those 5 places open , so any one coming in will have to play a prelim |

your right george but this tournament had a time limit on when players could enter and i know at least two teams got together at last kick just to beat the original date i say again no late entries please or if you do let anyone in tell everyone in at roll call and draw it again this is the first decision the new committee has had to make and they`ve made an PLEASE DO NOT SWEAR of it |
