giff was banned last season therefor didnt play a game. how he could be picked before guys that put there time and effort into supporting the league is a mystery to me, give someone else a chance that they have earned eg joe harvie dougie chapman davy harvie gerry and billy reid plenty of boys who deserve a chance pick your squad not your friends,

joe harvie was asked, but didnt want to play.....

i picked giff on ability not friendship he's back playing in tournys/practise and playing well, i feel if he didnt stop playing he would be in the a team... iv told him he needs to pay his fine by the end of the month or he will not be goin!!!!

as for the rest of the team some of the boys who went last year and played well have kept there place, and i think ive brought in 7 other players who i feel should and deserve to be there

but this is only my view!!!!!
if people arn't happy the way the team has been picked or because there not in it, then next year they should put there name forward and go for the captiancy insted of just me who is proud playing for this team and think we will do well, and if we dont i still stand by my choices

aye that and the fact he runs u up to haven, and if he still owes a fine he shouldnt even be considered for haven hes had a year to pay it and didnt but cause hes picked for team he now decides to pay it, players should be picked on performances in league he didnt pay fine so didnt play for our league therefor shouldnt be picked,

i think you have made a terrible point giff is a great player no doubts hes played in most of the sunday comps and done well he is playing well and in order for the team to do well they need him simple. your examples where so bad joe harvey good player but thinks hes to good for the b team davie harvie he cant win in the league never mind in a super league billy and gerry there decent but they would struggle up there. the team is the strongest ive ever seen it plus the thing is theres more to take into consideration theres a lot of personality in that team which is a massive thing in team games if people are having a good time they tend to play better and what determins if people are having a good time is the people around them. so take all thet into consideration i doubt you could find a stronger more suitible team am i wrong ???????????????????????? didnt think so ayeeeeeecheeeeeeeeeerss

i agree its a good team i hope the A and B team get to the final, the point im making is giff never played in league last year so shouldnt be considered for craig tara, other people who supported the league should be given a chance, ps bottler bob is short for big orange bxxxxxd.

Just for your info - chris d and tony b dont play for any claremont team - and i agree with bob its an old pals act.

if a football player doesnt play football for his club he doesnt get picked for internationals - this should be the same!!!!

wouldnt disrespect as many people tho, there are plenty of decent players in the league (including the claremont).

Also if there isnt anyone good enough to play for the team how did one of the claremont players get phoned on sunday to play in 1 of the teams????

monkey is pickin the team this year and picks who he thinks will do best and like many have said its a pretty good team, but not every1 will agree who is in you will always get som1 who thinks it should be diff but thats the way it goes it does ur napper in somtimes but monkey was the only person who put his name forward when the chance was there so every1 else who says diff should have spoke up then as it happened last year 2 so you should just take it like a man now and put ur name up next time but it aint no old pals act tho no 1 likes giff anyway haha just a joke giff smiley

It's a good team mate, as solid a Central B team as i've ever seen. I can see the reasons why people would be against Giff being in it. I dont really think he should have been selected either but at least Monkey was open enough to say why he picked him and left out others etc.

Tha captain has a thankless task and I think Monkey was very brave to take the job on and as a supporter of the B team I am delighted with his selections so good luck lads and bring it home!! All the best to the A team as well, we have a great chance.

taylors the bowling club and any of the old clairmont teams havent got the ability to compete at these events apart from a couple of players,as u said about football if they dont play for club they dont play for country .u dont need to be match fit to play pool.giff is a m8 of mine and i know he was still practicing through his ban.he is a stick on to be in the team there shouldnt even be a debate.it is not a friends act just because none of your players are good enuf doesnt mean you shud go round critisizing others that got picked.and as u said some names in earlier post about players that put the time and effort into it shud get a chance, does this mean george beattie shud be in b team. george is a nice guy and puts alot of effort into this league and turns up for alot of comps but shudnt be in the team ,no offence to george. if i was you taylors i think you should arange 5 practice nights a week smiley better luck next year smiley
