This year saw the Kilwinning Bowling Club host the event for the first time with over 80 players attending. As with the singles the day before there was a very high standard of play and a few closely fought matches.
The final saw the pairings of Dougie Chapman and Rab Watson face Chris Brown and Rab Allan. All players showing the kind of play that got them into the final making difficult shots look easy and sharing the early frames evenly. Rab and Chris then turned the screw and finished the match five frames to two, all players though contributing to an excellent match befitting of any tournament.

This weekend saw the inaugural pool event here with 50 players turning up to compete, the day saw many interesting and exciting ties none more so than the final between Scott Lynn and Chris Davis.
The frames were evenly matched going either way with some brilliant play by both players but there could only be one winner and Scott showed why he is ranked number 10 in Scotland holding it together to take the last two frames and win six four. The bowling club would like to thank all who attended.
